Tei shi has been teasing her cult following with a string of new releases, both of which are emblematic of the evolution of her style and music. A softer, more polished sound supports Valerie’s voice as it slithers through the ocean filtered production, which is done by herself and long time collaborator Luca Buccellati. The two of them as a production duo alone are unstoppable, but also as creators and songwriters in their own right. Both times the duo has been daring enough to throw someone else in the mix for an unexpected edge. In this case it’s Dave Bayley from Glass Animals as co-producer, and in the last track Bassically it was mixing from Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberly. This girl and her crew are getting ready to rule Brooklyn and look and sound stunning while doing so.

Check out Bassically below:

Tei Shi is doing some live shows, too. Get to them while she’s still accessible. And don’t miss her show in DC with Kaiotic fave GEMS!
